I think @relayer00 is basically saying that you can't simply pick things up where you left off. The friendship will require work and there has to be trust/respect returned between both parties. If you feel it necessary to contact him, I would tread carefully and not expect too much (if anything) to come from it. Also, don't be disheartened if nothing actually happens. Regards, Lee -

Strange things are known to happen. I just don't wanna see you get your hopes up and then have them dashed. In your situation, the Lee of "old" would've jumped straight in. I have a more reserved and wise approach now. Sometimes standing back and reviewing the situation is encouraging, it makes for more clarity mate. -
To recieve recognition from my manager is a god send. She says that I should be proud of myself aawww isn't that sweet. The admin side is what bugs me tho tbh, it's time consuming! I'm asking for more covering days, fool me lol

"The hardest part is letting go and not taking part" - Coldplay. Basically, keep it in the past. Revisiting what once blessed but ran the course is like opening a can of worms. You my friend, care and ponder over that because it was a special friendship. I think most of us have been there at one time or another. Missed opportunities, things left unsaid, all them what iffs... Believe me it's not worth the hassle but I wish you luck in your quest! -
