Bernie Sanders. A rich elitist with millions in assets that wants no one else to be rich because he's made his money. Sidenote: I'd say the Republican tax bill has been great. WalMart and Starbuck, for example, have increased worker wages and been offering bonuses, better benefits and stock options.

Your Thoughts on Police Abuse and Brutality

Well I mean they are a terrorist group... And if you think the US is a police state, please feel free to visit the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) where you're jailed in a hard labour camp for the rest of your life & so are the next 2 generations after you if you speak out against the Kim regime. Or maybe try some of the many Middle Eastern countries where there are Religion Police that come and take in you away in the middle of the night if you're suspected of blasphemizing Islam or jail you under sexual deviancy laws for touching another man's hip as you fall ove -
Same. There's a serial killer that's been caught in Toronto so it's big news, not often a serial killer pops up in Canada. Good thing you aren't watching the Clinton News Network though.

Time for another polarizing topic of discussion because they're always fun. What are you guys thinking when it comes to the #MeToo movement? It seems daily now men in the entertainment industry & politics are being targeted for varying degrees of sexual misconduct, with most allegation being 10 or more years old and with NO evidence being presented other than the alleged victim's word. We've seen stars in film, tv and the arts be targeted; and within the last week 4 high profile Canadian politicians have stepped down from their roles due to allegations that have been made to the

Understandable. There are always things that can't be told for various reasons, on both sides of the situation. -

Finally something I can agree with Dillon. 😂 And please, don't get me wrong, I don't think that what happened to you was deserving; the way you are describing how things unfolded is the part that is suspect. -

Exactly, sweet bugger all. The problem we see in the US, again going back to the Bill of Rights, is that for 227 years since it came to be, the second right for any American citizen is the right to own a firearm; which is pretty insane. Don't get me wrong, I agree with gun ownership and I think that any citizen that wants to own guns should be allow to own guns. Having said that, there are somewhere around 450 Million guns in the US, that we know of being purchased. 450 MILLION! That's more than 1 gun for every citizen... Couple that with the fact that criminals don't follow any law -

Read what I said Lee. I wasn't disputing your assertion about people potentially dying from a CEW, I was disputing your statement about the police becoming more "taser happy" as you put it. Across the UK 1,000 armed response officers have been hired. How many times do you hear of a police shooting in the UK? It's quite rare to hear of the police shooting someone in the UK. -

But at least I don't dismiss facts as falsehoods because they don't fit the story that doesn't exist. The fact of the matter is that a black man in the US is infinitely more likely to be killed by another black man than a police officer is likely to kill an "innocent, unarmed" black man. -

Total garbage my friend. There have been so many uses of a CEW globally, where very, very few deaths being attributed to their use. We only hear about someone dying after being hit with a CEW because the instances of it happening are so rare. I'd cite some statistics and such, but unless they come from left leaning universities showing that their use is evil, there are people here that cast them aside as being made up. Honestly, use of force, 99.9% of the time is used because of how the person interacting with the police act. Canada, most of Europe and quite a few other places a -

You know absolutely nothing about me. I think the only one that's shown any kind of racist attitudes here is you. Something typical of someone with a weak argument that cannot actually present any acceptable facts to try and prove their point. This is now the second time you've taken a thread and tried to use it as your soap box for you supposed crusade for equality. Keep on keeping on. I'm sure there's a BLM or Black Panther Party group that would love to add you their ranks, if they haven't already. -

Incorrect. He had already provided the officer with his identification and insurance information before telling the cop that he had a gun. -

With the rise of radicalism and terror attacks happening more frequently in the UK, it's for the best. The two vehicle and knife attacks in London last summer could have been a lot worse had armed police not been able to stop the attacks when they did. Also look at the Nice truck attack. Nearly 100 people killed, but the next attack was thwarted after armed police shot and killed the driver. -

Yes the video does speak for itself. Specifically at 1:12 when the officer says "don't reach for it. Don't pull it out. Don't reach for it." Oops... Did I just post a fact that **** all over your story...? -

Actaully he was told not to move when he informed the officer that he had a concealed handgun and continued to reach after the officer yelled at him several times not to move. Good try though. -

"Hands up don't shoot" was a lie that CNN basically created and perpetuated for months until it was discovered that the friend of and witness to Mike Brown's justified officer involved shooting death, made up him putting his hands in the air and pleading with Ofc Darren Wilson before he was shot. In recent memory there has been only 2 shootings where the Officer unjustifiably shot a young black person. One was the little boy that was shot by a black officer before he even got out of the car after dispatch failed to tell responding officers that the boy had a plastic toy gun, the other bei -

Stop believing what the Clinton News Network is telling you. The number of cases where an "innocent, unarmed" person is killed by police is very, very low.
