    A few months ago I worked as a Armed Guard for a armored car service. I was there for 22 years. A few months ago the company decided to cut employees by 50% and I was one of the workers that was given a permanent layoff. I took some time and I got a new job working in a Funeral Home which I was always interested in doing. I liked working at the Funeral Home and I was making alot of friends there. Today, I went to work and I was called into the Funeral Director's office and was laidoff! That is two jobs laid me off now. They said after this virus is over I can re apply for a job again if I still want to work there. I can't believe this!

      That sucks. Why would they lay you off before the virus when lots of people are going to be dying anyway? That makes no sense. At least the unemployment benefits are good rn.

      It is because funerals are not allowed in some areas now so the funeral home gets no profits to pay their employees. It is sad times

    My county went into a stay at home order lastnight at 8pm. You can only go out to get groceries, medicine or doctor appointments. People are still panicking. Toilet paper and soap are not in the store. I hope they find a cure for the virus soon and completely kill this virus off.

    Hey guys. So I live in Pennsylvania in the USA and things are really getting crazy now because of the virus. I was out shopping today and I walked by the soap section and there was not one bar or bottle of soap in the store! Then I went past the bottled water section and that was empty also.     I don't know how to feel tonight. Lastnight the company I work for had a massive layoff with out any warning. Almost 50% of the workers were given permanent layoff. I was in the group that was laidoff. The company is paying 3 months wages to give time to get a new job. I was there for almost 23 years and this is how I am appreciated?
