I think mandatory things are always kinda bad. Same going on for the company I am working for right now. Not christmas parties, but presentation of the goals of the last 3 months are mandatory. Kinda, I guess? Not exactly my phantasies, but things being on my mind for some time. For example: During school, I had to speak in front of class. This actually scared me a lot, so I thought about it. The night before the event was strange one. I fell asleep, dreaming about one situation which might occur for the talk. Woke up after about 30 minutes. Fell asleep again, next situation, aaaaand repeat. So, basically, I already lived through some scenarions which might occur. Yeah, was kinda tired, but prepared.
